The purpose of the Business Competence Centre (BCC) is to create an environment that will encourage and enable new innovations to be developed and successfully commercialized. This will be done by combining the region's high level of R&D expertise, entrepreneurial know-how, dynamic educational system and support services into one centre focusing on bringing new innovative ideas to market. Through the Business Competence Centre, companies and R&D organizations will have access to the following:
- Business idea development, coaching, planning and advice
- Incubator services for companies including facilities, training, mentoring and consulting
- Services for growth companies including internationalization assistance, projects with global companies and access to financing services
- Access to the region's vast regional, national and international network of partners and expertise
- An environment that will promote communication, cooperation and open innovation suitable to the needs and wishes of participating organizations
