The objective of the Business in Jyväskylä Programme is to increase the overall attractiveness of the Jyväskylä region to new domestic and foreign investment, to encourage the development of new high tech and innovative businesses and to assist existing firms to expand their operations into global markets.
More precisely, we focus on the following tasks:
- To promote the establishment, growth and internationalisation of innovation-based companies in the Jyväskylä region
- To promote the competitiveness of innovative companies through the development of quality domestic and international networks and partnerships
- To promote the transfer of expertise and innovation from research and educational institutes into the commercial sector
- To further develop the innovative business environment and technology clusters existing here in the Jyväskylä region
- To assist firms establishing operations in the region to begin their operations quickly, efficiently and profitably
- To facilitate the creation of new business models, tools and projects to support the success of local companies and increase the overall attractiveness of the region
- To identify and communicate changes taking place globally that would create new opportunities for regional organizations
- To enhance the creative and innovative culture of the Jyväskylä region
